Experience the awe of watching the Zambezi River plunge 100 metres deep into the narrow gorge at the Victoria Falls. Walk in the wild of Hwange National Park with our experienced guide who will explain the mysteries of nature to you from the humble dung-beetle to the massive elephant. Marvel at millennia-old rock paintings in Matobo National Park and savour the breathtaking scenery of granite inselbergs and gentle, grassy valleys. Gaze in wonder as the red sandstone of the Chilojo Cliffs in Gonarezhou National Park glows in the afternoon sun and reflects in the Runde River. Explore the mysterious Great Zimbabwe Monument built between the 11th and 14th centuries AD. If you wish, a further 4 days can be added in Chizarira, one of the country's most scenic and wild national parks.
We have altered the itinerary of this tour, a success in 2011, only slightly. Rather than stay in a lodge at the Great Zimbabwe Monument, we'll be using the snug and comfortable camp run by Museums and Monuments.
