Our specialty: Zimbabwe |

In this space we would like to introduce some areas of Zimbabwe to you that are very special to us personally, and where we have enjoyed truly exceptional safaris. Some places, for example Victoria Falls or Hwange National Park, are well known tourist attractions while others are more remote and not so easily reached but for that very reason they are also off the beaten track and pristine. But no matter where you go, you will find that the Zimbabwean level of expertise in hospitality and safari guiding is first class, better than anywhere else we have been in Africa.
Zimbabwe has had very bad press, especially in 2008 and times are desperate for most of the population. So it is natural to ask oneself whether it is safe in the first place and secondly whether it is morally right to visit this country. On the other hand, it is estimated that every person who has a job supports about 7 to 10 family members. Thus, very roughly and simplistically calculated, 10 jobs mean survival of sorts for 70 to 100 people. Only foreign visitors can help to keep the touristic infrastructure ticking over. And only as long as this infrastructure is more or less in place will it be possible for new jobs to be created as soon as there is an improvement in the situation. |

Another very important factor is nature conservation. Only where visitors come to watch wild animals in their natural environment can the funds be spared to protect these very animals. Understandably, people who have nothing to eat and no means of income will poach to survive. On the other hand it is important to save black rhinos and wild dogs -among other species- from extinction. Thus, as a result of their survival, these animals can be a contribution to the income of many people in the long run rather than serving only a very few individuals in the short term as a result of their death.
If you decide on a safari to Zimbabwe, your safety is of paramount importance to us. We have chosen the various tour segments as they are presented here because this way we can offer you excellent guides who are specialised for their particular areas. They will also safely and reliably hand you over to the next specialist for another part of your adventure. Thus you will always be in the company of an expert guide who will make sure that you have the best of all possible experiences on your safari.
Now we hope that you'll enjoy leafing through the pages!
